10 Ways to Tell if You're a Car Guy

Look, not everyone understands it. But if you find yourself nodding along to these, you’re not just “into cars” — you’re a full-blown car guy.

Here are 10 dead giveaways:

1. You pick restaurants based on parking “Hey babe, I found this amazing new restaurant we should try” (but you actually chose it because you already drove past it twice and confirmed the parking lot is easy and spacious)
   
   
2. You agree to go to places with people you don't really like because the drive is  good “Yeah sure, I can make it” (only because the route has some proper roads and isn’t just soul-crushing traffic the whole way and you've already created an excuse to leave early)
   
3. Rain cancels your plans “Sorry man, the weather looks terrible, probably best to reschedule” (you just spent all day pampering your car and their is no way it getting dirty so quickly)
   
   
4. You talk to your car You casually say things like “Come on baby, don’t do this to me” when it makes a weird noise (because deep down you actually believe it can hear you)
   
   
5. You pick your friends and acquaintances by their car not them You meet someone and think “they seem cool” (just because what they drive and they take care of it)
   
   
6. You get excited when friends have car issues Friend says their car is acting up and you reply “Damn that sucks”(while secretly being thrilled you get to talk about cars and give advice)
